McCoy House (2020 - 2026)
Materials: Walnut Solid Wood, Walnut Plywood, Maple Plywood, Baltic Birch Plywood.
The McCoy House has been one of those rare chances in a career where you work on multiple projects over the course of years and the clients truly become friends! This has been one of my favorite projects! The home has a wonderful mid-century modern feel to it and these projects have really added to the beauty.
The work began in 2020 building out a master bathroom suite. The master bath features both standard slab doors with grain matched veneers and louvered doors. The work continued with a full kitchen remodel, including some absolutely insane scribing work for the dual mantels, which wrap the face of the rock fireplace and end in a beautiful bookcase. The materials market was crazy during covid and quality plywood was in rare supply, so we had the veneers for the kitchen custom ordered from a manufacturer. The next project was dual mantels on the second fireplace, a custom laundry room, and a wonderfully unique entryway coat rack with a bench seat. The final project to date, was a built-in kitchen bench seat with a custom dining table and dual purpose stools that serve as side tables when not in use.
This project represents a sample of the finest custom cabinets made in Oklahoma City.
