McCoy Coat Rack (2025)
Materials & Techniques: Walnut, Walnut Plywood, Baltic Birch Plywood.
The McCoy Coat Rack was commissioned as an accent wall piece for a mid-century modern home. The clients are huge fans of Frank Lloyd Wright and asked that I create something in his style that might serve as a coat rack. The intended location was for the laundry room but after seeing the finished work they decided to place it in the entryway to serve as a functional conversation piece. This was an incredibly fun project! The detail wood hook pieces were especially challenging to make. I feel that the proportions, details, and simplicity of this piece are near perfect.
The McCoy Coat Rack represents the finest craftsmanship, heirloom quality, and forward thinking design of custom furniture made in Oklahoma City. No paint, stain, or dye was used in the creation of this piece. A clear coat finish was applied to preserve the natural wood tones and textures.
