Icosidodecahedron (2023)

Materials & Techniques: Hard Maple, Peruvian Walnut (Solid & Veneer), Tamo Ash Veneer, Glass.

Icosidodecahedron is a coffee table design that emphasizes the base geometric shapes of the pentagon and triangle with a positive and negative feel where the Peruvian walnut is raised to the forefront on the interior of the table and the maple is raised to the forefront on the exterior of the table.  This offset construction method enables the eye to see the complexity of the geometric shape in a simple way. The center floor of the table has a gorgeous Tamo Ash veneer. This table was extremely difficult to build, but I love the elegant simplicity of the finished result!

Icosidodecahedron represents the finest craftsmanship, heirloom quality, and forward thinking design of custom furniture made in Oklahoma City. No paint, stain, or dye was used in the creation of this piece. A clear coat finish was applied to preserve the natural wood tones and textures.
