Materials & Techniques: Red Oak, Art Glass. 

This front door was a collaboration with Oklahoma City based glass artist, Bill Hawk. Bill created the cast glass pieces from large lily pads harvested from his own pond. I created a door design with two “port holes” to house the glass. The end result is a gorgeous and unique entry that provides a balance of color pop, scattered sunlight, and privacy.

The door was finished with a brushed on spar varnish highlighting the natural red oak wood tones.
