Ellipse (2014)

Materials & Techniques: Ash, Bubinga, and Peruvian Walnut (Later topped by client with granite, though I intended glass)

Ellipse was commissioned to match a bedroom set I had previously created for a client.

The rest of the bedroom set is very linear except for a minimal curve detail added at the base and crown of each piece.  Ellipse makes use of the same wood species and profiles but combines them in a way that both compliments and stretches the boundaries of the existing bedroom set.

The table was created in such a way that it could be topped with glass.  The client chose to top it with a rare blue granite to match the night stands. I was unable to get a photo with the granite top.

Ellipse represents the finest craftsmanship, heirloom quality, and forward thinking design of custom furniture made in Oklahoma City. No paint, stain, or dye was used in the creation of this piece. A clear coat finish was applied to preserve the natural wood tones and textures.

Dimensions: 57” wide, 31” deep, 15-3/4” tall with 1/2” glass, (glass not pictured)
