Effervescence (2012)

Materials & Techniques: Cherry, Sapele, Walnut, Purple Heart, and Matching Veneers, Starphire Glass.

Effervescence derives its name from the veneered circles in the center of the table. The idea was to create a feeling of depth and movement similar to that of bubbles rising to the surface in a column of water. The veneered circles are inlaid into the back ground one at a time to achieve the feeling of depth. The framework of the table makes use of the woods found in the veneered portion albeit with detail and fine profiling. The piece is topped by a 1/2" sheet of starphire glass that provides impeccable clarity with a slight aqua undertone. The table stands out as a subtle work of art in any environment and could serve as a coffee table or an end table with oversized furniture.

Effervescence represents the finest craftsmanship, heirloom quality, and forward thinking design of custom furniture made in Oklahoma City. No paint, stain, or dye was used in the creation of this piece. A clear coat finish was applied to preserve the natural wood tones and textures.
