Custom exotic wood dining table with textured wood and glass top

Ambient Wave Table (2015)

Materials & Techniques: Cherry, Sapele, Walnut, & Purple Heart.

The Ambient Wave Table was originally created along with my Crescent Bar Table to compliment my Ambient Wave Credenza which was staged in a room of the 2015 Symphony Show Home by local Oklahoma City designer, Travis Neely. The event is an annual charitable fundraiser that allows local designers to display their talent while helping raise money for the Oklahoma City Philharmonic’s Music Education Programs. This event allowed me to showcase custom furniture designed and made in Oklahoma.

The Ambient Wave Table features the textured panels I originally created for my Ambient Wave Credenza in 2013. The design utilizes a three-leg support structure that radiates from a central base. The three legs are removable from the base with bed rail hardware. They lock into the mating socket on the base with gravity while the weight of the glass holds everything in place.  This allows the table to be broken down and fit through a standard door opening.

Ideally this piece would have a larger diameter glass top to make it more comfortable to use, but the Symphony Show Home room it was displayed in wouldn’t accommodate the larger diameter. It is pictured here with 54” diameter glass.

The Ambient Wave Table represents the finest craftsmanship, heirloom quality, and forward thinking design of custom furniture made in Oklahoma City. No paint, stain, or dye was used in the creation of this piece. A clear coat finish was applied to preserve the natural wood tones and textures.

Dimensions: 29-1/4” tall with 3/8” glass, Shown with 54” diameter glass
